The history of Glasco Blck Creek is a tapestry woven with diverse chapters, each contributing to its unique character and allure. Originally established as the Slotkin Family Farm in 1943, the property witnessed transformations under various owners. In 1966, Donald Lords, a prominent figure in city demolition, acquired the land, setting the stage for a new era. Under his stewardship, the estate gained prominence as a renowned nudist colony, founded by Helen Reitman, igniting a movement that still lives on throughout the world to this day.
In 1999, the Maltz family, known for their discerning taste and appreciation for luxury, acquired the estate, infusing it with opulence and refinement. Home to the Slotkin family, who once farmed chickens on its grounds, the property boasts remnants of its agricultural past, including visible silo structures. Notably, Donald Lords’ personal touch, evident in the intricate wood craftsmanship adorning the lake house, adds a unique charm to the estate.
Today, Glasco Blck Creek stands as an exclusive luxury property and private event venue, offering a blend of historical intrigue and modern elegance. With its rich heritage and meticulous restoration, it continues to captivate visitors, inviting them to become part of its timeless story.
